Lake Ashi (芦ノ湖, Ashinoko) is a scenic crater lake in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It was formed in the caldera of Mount Hakone after a volcanic eruption about 3,000 years ago. The lake is famous for its stunning views of Mount Fuji, particularly on clear days, as well as the iconic floating torii gate of Hakone Shrine.

Owakudani (大涌谷) is a volcanic valley in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture, known for its active sulphur vents, hot springs, and stunning views of Mount Fuji. It was formed around 3,000 years ago after a major eruption of Mount Hakone. The area is famous for its steaming landscapes and the unique Kuro Tamago (black eggs), which are boiled in the natural sulphur springs and are said to extend one's life by seven years per egg!

The Hakone Open-Air Museum (箱根彫刻の森美術館) is Japan’s first open-air art museum, featuring a vast collection of modern and contemporary sculptures set against the stunning backdrop of Hakone’s mountains. Opened in 1969, it combines art and nature in a unique way, offering both indoor and outdoor exhibits.

Fuji 5th Station (富士山五合目) is the most popular starting point for climbing Mount Fuji via the Yoshida Trail. Located at 2,305m, it offers stunning views, shops, restaurants, Komitake Shrine, and a post office.
