What you can expect

Kuala Lumpur's colourful historical beginnings and modern grandeur frame this half-day tour through the city's unique blend of architectures and cultures. Explore colourful rural and urban lifestyles, eclectic designs, and a touch of nature, along with fine traditional arts and crafts.

After you meet your guide, pay a visit to the Kuala Lumpur Tower, one of the tallest freestanding towers in the world, and get a magnificent view of the lush Klang Valley that surrounds the city. For a different kind of magnificence, visit the Royal Museum, which until 2011 was the residence of Malaysia's king.

A drive through Chinatown, in the oldest part of the city, lets you revisit the Kuala Lumpur of yesteryear. Visit the Jamek Mosque, the oldest mosque in the city, and see the site where the Malaysian flag was first raised after Independence. The area around the square boasts unique colonial-era landmarks, such as the Sultan Abdul Samad building, the Royal Selangor Club, and St. Mary's Cathedral.

For a look at Malaysia's industry, visit the factory floor of Royal Selangor, the largest pewter maker in the world. Explore Embassy Row to see the residences of ambassadors and highly desirable private accommodation such as the Sharif Ali Palace. And of course you can explore the face of modern Kuala Lumpur with a stop in the city centre, topped off by the stainless steel and glass skyscrapers of the Petronas Twin Towers.
