What you can expect

Embark on a visual journey into the power and passion of the Legend of Tongaiti. This over-water show sets the stage—rather, floats the stage—which is surrounded by waterfalls, lush jungle gardens, and an ambient tiki-torch glow as you learn about the culture and people of the Cook Islands.

From your hotel, enjoy a convenient pick-up, (booking required and additional charges apply) and head to Te Vara Nui Village, where you are escorted to one of our 3 restaurants. Breathe in the delicious aromas, and savour the dishes …a buffet featuring a blend of island and western cuisine prepared by local and international chefs. Then take your seat in excitement and prepare for show time.

Torches are lit, the crowd is silenced and Rarotonga's finest dancers take the stage. Amid shaking hips, swaying arms and beating drums – the floating stage takes on a presence of its own. Under a starlit sky, lose yourself in the ancient anecdotes of this fascinating culture, and surrender to the grace and beauty behind the Maori legends.
