What you can expect

Relive a part of Hawaiian history with a voyage along the south coast of Maui in a traditional outrigger canoe. Get some incredible views of the island, learn about the canoe's critical role in Hawaiian culture, and experience a part of the traditional life.

Pass some of the world's best professional and amateur outrigging clubs on the shores of Maui as you get ready for your own excursion. You depart from the beautiful Wailea Beach on a journey that takes you along the legendary coastline of South Maui.

Known for their long, angular build, the outrigger canoe is one of the most recognisable sights on Hawaii's shores. Participate in traditional Hawaiian chants as you paddle, learn about Hawaiian history, from the ancient Polynesian voyagers to the overthrow of the monarchy in 1893, and admire the breathtaking views of Haleakala, the West Maui Mountains, Lana'i, Kanaloa, and Molokini.

Paddle to Turtletown off Wailea Point, where you can see the famous Hawaiian green sea and hawksbill turtles that frequent the beautiful area before heading back to shore.
