On your 4-hour Ocean Encounters journey, you will make your way down the beautiful Kona Coast heading north to Pu‘u Ali‘i Bay, home of beautiful Makalawena. And believe us when we say… this is one of the most stunning locations on the Big Island. The lava rock and tranquil water is the draw to this remote cove. With 100’s of underwater species to see, this entire area is very rich in marine life. Excellent snorkelling along the lava rock outcroppings that run along the multiple coves. Be sure to bring your underwater camera to capture the colourful schools of fish and vibrant reefs. This snorkel spot is truly a hidden gem and not easy to get to by car or foot… it is off the beaten track and very remote. So, don’t miss out and join us on our boat!
