Durmitor National Park

Start your trip in Tivat or Podgorica, pick up your 4x4 SUV, and drive the serpentine road overlooking the Bay of Kotor. Continue through dramatic karst landscapes of lakes, canyons, and plateaus before reaching Durmitor’s high ridge. Walk around Black Lake on accessible trails surrounded by forest, flora, and fauna. Explore Durmitor National Park via its scenic ring road, keeping the ticket from Black Lake, and enjoy spectacular views from Lovćen ridge and the bay below.

Day 2: Sinjajevina Ridge, Tara Canyon, Alpine Lake with Crystal Water

Sinjajevina

Visit the famous Tara Bridge, the iconic arch spanning Europe’s deepest canyon, then detour through Kolšin due to roadworks before reaching your hotel.

Day 3: Biogradska Gora Reserve, a Fairytale Forest and Lake

Biogradska gora National Park

Take a scenic hike around Lake Biogradska, a fairytale spot in the heart of Montenegro’s ancient forest. Stop at traditional shepherds’ katuns for a rustic Montenegrin lunch before descending along logging trails into the Lim River Valley.

Day 4: Descent to Podgorica through the mountains, then to the Adriatic Coast

Lake Skadar
