What you can expect

  • To reach this attraction, travel for 1 hour and 30 minutes by transport. Then, walk for approximately 2 hours through beautiful landscapes along the largely cobbled Inca route, which makes the descent easier. At the end of the route, return to the vehicle and continue to the crater and Devil’s Throat.

The Maragua crater or also called Marawa has an extension of approximately 8 km. In the centre of the crater lives one of the communities that is dedicated to textiles, which will teach us how they work and live. During the rainy season, water collects and forms rivers that drain through the centre of the crater and flow down Devil’s Throat, creating a beautiful waterfall.
