Overview

  • Join this private day trip to the ancient city of Segovia, the territory Miguel de Cervantes immortalised in Don Quixote and La Mancha. First, be taken to La Mancha's countryside, home of the famous windmills that motivated Don Quixote's fable of the great struggle with giants.

See the town of Consuegra, where twelve beautifully maintained windmills line the hillsides, providing expansive panoramic views of the plains below. Discover the clever mechanisms of one of these windmills by stepping inside and hearing tales of their historical significance.

Next, travel to Segovia, where medieval and Roman marvels abound. Start at the famous Roman Aqueduct, a magnificent engineering accomplishment withstood over time. Wander through the lovely streets of Segovia, past medieval churches and gorgeous parks. See the architectural wonder of Segovia, the fairy-tale Alcázar, bursting with legends of knights and kings.
