Begin your day with pickup from Lyttelton Port and a scenic drive over the Crater Rim. Stop in the seaside suburb of Sumner for hot drinks. Visit Cave Rock, and enjoy a stroll along the esplanade.

Continue into the city to see Christchurch’s fascinating mix of old and new. Visit the Transitional Cardboard Cathedral, the colourful New Regent Street, lined with Spanish Mission-style architecture and boutique shops, and Cathedral Square.

Visit the Christchurch Botanic Gardens, a 21-hectare green sanctuary of native and exotic plants, before heading to the Riverside Market for free time and lunch. Explore gourmet food stalls, local produce, and boutique stores. Your guide will share favourite local recommendations, from wood-fired pizza and craft beer to handmade gelato.

Next, enjoy a peaceful punting on the Avon River experience. Glide along the river past leafy banks and historic bridges on a traditional flat-bottomed punt, guided by an Edwardian-dressed punter.

Finish your day with a scenic drive through the historic Lyttelton Tunnel, before returning to port.
