You begin on Fourvière hill, where the city feels calm and open. The Basilica of Notre-Dame of Fourvière rises above it all, still a place where locals mark life’s big moments. Nearby, ancient theatres recall Lugdunum, once a major Roman city, where people gathered for speeches and shows.

Walking down to Vieux Lyon, you stop at Cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste, where centuries meet naturally. In the narrow streets and hidden traboules, you hear how silk workers and traders shaped daily life.

The tour ends on the Presqu’île at Place des Terreaux, home to the Bartholdi Fountain—a lively square that reveals Lyon’s character and everyday rhythm.
