Activity itinerary

Takehara Townscape Preservation Area
  • 2h
Takehara, also known as the "Little Kyoto of Aki," is a city in Hiroshima famous for its Edo Period (1603-1868) Preservation District. The city flourished due to the presence of sake and salt merchants, and as a result, you can still find many sake breweries here. After your arrival, you will be greeted with a complimentary welcome drink at Takehara michi no eki, and then you will have time to take a leisurely stroll around the city. *Attention* This activity is available for all the costumers. After the customers get off, the bus will wait for them and then depart for the next destination, Onomichi.
Onomichi
  • 2h
Onomichi is a picturesque town in Hiroshima prefecture. Since it was spared from bombings during the war, it conserves many old buildings and streets, giving it a nostalgic atmosphere. In this tour, a local guide will accompany you on a discovery of this unique city, guiding you through alleys filled with cats and up to Senkoji Temple and Observatory, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding islands. At the end of this walking tour, you will have the opportunity to relax at Miharashi-tei, an old Japanese house located on the hillside (on the way back from Senkoji). Miharashi-tei is part of a renovation project aimed at revitalising various vacant houses in Onomichi. *Attention* This activity is available only for customers who get off at the Onomichi bus stop. After the customers get off, the bus will proceed to the next destination (Setoda).
Setoda
  • 1h 30m
Setoda is a city on Ikuchijima Island, located in the middle of the famous Shimanami Kaido. The Shimanami Kaido is a popular cycling route for Japanese people as well as cycling enthusiasts from around the world. This unique route, consisting of long bridges that connect the different islands of the Seto Inland Sea, leads to a small port city with a soothing atmosphere. In Setoda, you can take part in a relaxing tour of the city centre with local guides who will show you the old-style shopping street and Kosanji, a unique temple created by a man in memory of his mother. *Attention* This activity is available only for customers who get off at the Setoda bus stop. After the customers get off, the bus will proceed to the next destination (Imabari).
Kirosan Observatory Park
  • 30m
Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Seto Inland Sea and the Kurushima Strait from the Kirosan Observatory. The observatory, designed by the renowned architect Kengo Kuma in 1994, is an open-topped concrete structure with stairs and walkways leading off in various directions. To reach the top of the building, you can walk up a staircase that passes through a slit cut into the top of the mountain. From there, you will be able to witness a view that is not found anywhere else. *Attention* This activity is available only for customers who get off at the Imabari bus stop. After the customers get off at Kirosan Observatory, the bus will wait for them and then depart for the last destination, Imabari.
