After being collected from your accommodation you will travel to the remote and beautiful location of Mt Potts high country station, where Mt Sunday is located. This peaceful mountain was transformed into Edoras for filming of The Lord of the Rings films.
Throughout the day your guide will provide you with entertaining commentary highlighting key facts about the cinema, region, flora and fauna. You will see behind the scenes photos of Edoras under construction, view the Misty Mountains and the area that formed the backdrop to Helms Deep.
On arrival at Edoras enjoy the natural unspoiled beauty and breathe in the fresh mountain air as you stroll to the summit. At the top relish the stunning 360-degree views over beautiful lakes and vast river plains surrounded by the Southern Alps. With this incredible backdrop, you can immortalise your experience and take photos with film replicas including; Swords, Axes and the Flag of Rohan.
