Whale Shark Experience 2 Days / 1 Night – Saleh Bay, Sumbawa from Lombok

Your journey begins in Lombok with an overland transfer and ferry crossing to Labuan Jambu, the gateway to Saleh Bay. The total travel time is approximately 8–10 hours, including the ferry crossing from Kayangan Harbour to Poto Tano Harbour. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of Lombok and Sumbawa, making the journey itself part of the adventure.

Please note that ferry schedules are subject to change, and waiting times may occur, especially during weekends, public holidays, or peak travel periods. As a result, the total travel time may be longer than expected.

This is a shared tour, and land transport is arranged according to the number of participants booked for the departure date.

• 1–3 participants: Travel by shared shuttle bus from Lombok to Labuan Jambu. During the journey, the vehicle may also be shared with local passengers travelling on the same route.
• 4 or more participants: Your group will travel in a private vehicle, providing a more comfortable and flexible journey.

Upon arrival in Labuan Jambu, check in to your hotel and relax before the next morning's adventure.

At around 4:00 AM, you'll head to the harbour and board a shared traditional wooden boat to the local fishing platforms (bagang), where wild whale sharks are frequently spotted. As the sun rises over Saleh Bay, you'll have the opportunity to observe, swim, and snorkel alongside these gentle giants in their natural habitat—one of Indonesia's most unforgettable marine wildlife experiences.

Based on our experience, the chance of seeing whale sharks is approximately 80–90%.
If whale sharks are not spotted, the tour will continue as scheduled and no refunds will be provided.
