What you can expect
Undoubtedly one of the top things to do in Split, join us on a fully guided all day tour of Krka national park washed down with some wonderful homemade spirits at a local homestead on your way back – its on us! All our tours are small group tours, never consisting of more than 19 guests - we avoid long entrance queues in the summer months.
We head off from Split to Skradinski buk, the largest travertine waterfall in Europe with a stop for a view of the town of Skradin, a town that is over 2000 years old and is located within the Krka national park river canyon itself. We will spend a little time at Skradinski buk, with enough time to walk around the park in order to take some beautiful photographs and enjoy the sights.
Then we head to our second location, the viewpoint of the Island of Visovac, Krka one of the most photographed islands in Croatia. We proceed to the Roski waterfall, Krka complex to enjoy a very relaxed part of the Krka national park noting all the beautiful flora and the fauna of the park in the best way possible. The Roski waterfalls is a secret corner of the park which is still undiscovered by commercial tourism – we want you to have the opportunity to enjoy Krka national park in the best way possible, away from the madding Summer Krka crowds. You will have an opportunity to swim at Roski slap so please bring your costume.
We visit the ethno exhibition within the Krka national park, and you have enough free time to explore Ozidana cave (a prehistoric locality with human remains that go back to the Neolithic period), enjoy the beautiful views of Ogrlice waterfalls, Krka, and have an optional lunch, if you havent packed a snack for the trip. In the Ethno village of the Roski waterfall we stop for some spirit tasting at our friend Ante’s homestead (“konoba”) in an authentic rural setting, a 700 year old watermill, turned into a family restaurant. After the tasting you will have an oportunity to enjoy an optional lunch at the restaurant.
We are back in Split at aproximately 19:00 pm.
PLEASE BRING YOUR ENTRANCE FEE OF HRK200 PER PERSON IN CASH.
In the winter months (Nov 1 – March 31), we do the tour in reverse, first visiting Roski Slap and taking in the view of the island of Visovac and then driving to Skradinski buk. We visit Sibenik after the park closes at 2pm before heading back to Split and enjoying some locally made spirits - on us! The tour finishes at 5.30pm
