The aim for organising this experience is to enable our Guest and the children to connect in a genuine and respectful way. The booking fee helps in organising food programmes and buying school supplies for orphans and vulnerable children in Kibera.
The School that you will visit is called LITTLE LIONS JUNIOR SCHOOL. This is one of the Charity schools in Kibera slam it was started in the year 2016. There are 152 children in the school. The children are divided in six classes.
WHAT YOU WILL DO ;
- Introduction and Briefing
You will be welcomed into the school office. The teachers will introduce themselves and tell you more about the school system in Kibera and most specifically about little lions school.
- Shown Around the School
You will be showing around the school. Welcomed into different classes and meet the children.
- Teaching Section
You will then decide on the class that you would like to teach depending on age. You can decide on a topic of your own or the teachers will guide you on what to teach.
- Help Serve Breakfast or Lunch
You will then help in serving the breakfast or lunch depending on the time of the day.
- View point
I ( your guide ) will then take you to a viewpoint where you will see general view of Kibre slum and learn more storey about the history and the current state of Kibre slum.
