Known for its iconic shape resembling a traditional pestle (called “wangedi” in Sinhala), this mountain offers an unforgettable blend of adventure, nature, and panoramic beauty.

Start your hike through a dense, aromatic pine forest, adding a cool and serene start to your hike. The gentle rustle of pine needles underfoot sets the tone for a peaceful ascent. On your way up, you’ll be treated to stunning views of Bambarakanda Falls (Sri Lanka’s tallest waterfall) and the enchanting Lanka Falls, both cascading from the nearby mountains.

Reach the summit and be rewarded with sweeping 360-degree views of the surrounding valleys and peaks. Whether you're camping under the stars or catching the sunrise from the summit, this mountain promises a truly unforgettable experience.
