  • If Manjanggul Cave is closed (on the first Wednesday of every month), Jeju Haenyeo Museum will be offered as an alternative tour
  • Manjanggul Cave, a World Natural Heritage site, will be closed for safety inspection and internal construction as follows. Suspension of operation 2023.12.29. ~ 2025.08.31. so, replaced by another place.

Manjanggul Cave (Pass by)
From City centre( your accommodation) to Manjanggul Cave 1 hour. Stop At : This is the World`s largest known Lava Tube created by Volcanic Activity. You can feel the magnificence of the landscape that resembles being inside an underground place. The especially exquisite Stone Turtle that resembles Jeju island is particularly popular. In case of the closing of Manjanggul Lava Tube (The first Wednesday of every month), Jeju Haenyeo Museum will be an alternative tour course. Duration : 70min From Mangjanggul Cave to Woljeongri Beach 15minutes
Woljeongri Beach (Pass by)
Stop At : Woljeongri Beach is known for its scenery, tranquil white sand, and very beautiful emerald Ocean. Near the beach, a stretch of cosy and beautiful Cafes aligns the streets. Duration : 15min From Woljeongri Beach to Seongsan ilchulbong 40minutes

Jeju haenyeo are the strong mothers of Jeju and the spiritual pillars of Jeju residents. Also, the life of the Jeju haenyeo community is a model that humanity should aim for. Jeju haenyeo formed a merit-based community and democratically decided through discussions. She not only cared for the elderly and infirm, such as Halmang Badang and Geseok, and raised funds with her material profits to contribute to society, such as villages and schools. She also came up with various contraptions to coexist with the sea, such as beach sweeping, gold snatching, and dialysis. Jeju haenyeo culture was recognised for its value and was registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on November 30, 2016 (local time).
