Pickup from your hotel in central Mendoza is scheduled between 8:00 and 9:00 AM. From there, it’s a 40–50 minute scenic drive to the starting point in Cacheuta. The hike is a steady uphill climb to 2,220 metres above sea level, covering about 8 km with an elevation gain of 1,100 metres. It takes around 3–4 hours to reach the top, where we’ll enjoy wide views of the Andes and Lake Potrerillos, take photos, and recharge with a short break. The descent is quicker, about 2.5 hours. After the hike, we’ll grab our things from the car and take a short 5-minute walk to the hot springs, where you can fully relax for about an hour — a perfect way to recover tired muscles after the trek. Next to the hot springs entrance, there are small cafés where you can grab food to take inside (there are some tables). Alternatively, we can have a meal after finishing at the hot springs — the decision is usually made on the spot. We’ll then drive back to Mendoza, arriving around 6:00–7:00 PM, tired but satisfied. For the rest of the day, it’s best not to plan anything — except maybe a nice, relaxing dinner. Please read “What To Expect” and “What’s Included” carefully. And see you on the hike!
