Overview

  • Experience Antelope Island and the Great Salt Lake on an evening wildlife safari timed around golden hour and sunset.

    This new Safari Utah experience is led by a Utah local and former African safari guide and follows a similar itinerary to our top-rated Great Salt Lake Safari - Discover Antelope Island, exploring wildlife, scenery, ecology, and history, with extra time for evening light and sunset.

    Wildlife: Search for bison, pronghorn, mule deer, coyotes, raptors, shorebirds, owls, and seasonal species.

    Photography: Evening light can create excellent conditions for wildlife and landscape photography.

    Sunset: We'll make the 1 mile round hike to Buffalo Point for sunset views over the Great Salt Lake.

    Small groups keep the pace relaxed and personal, ideal for couples, photographers and nature lovers.

    Please note- We do not stop at the Visitor Centre or Fielding Garr ranch as these close at 5pm. Guests must have sufficient fitness for hiking a rocky trail with 300ft elevation gain

Antelope Island State Park

The tour will stop on the causeway out to the island to view migratory birds that visit the Great Salt Lake. On the island we will look for the free-roaming bison herd and other wildlife that live here. A 1 mile round hike up Buffalo Point will conclude the tour to view the sunset
