What you can expect

Spend the day travelling through the forested Troodos Mountains and discover some of Cyprus' wildest landscapes on this 4x4 tour. See vineyards, waterfalls, mountain villages like Lefkara, pine forests and more.
We'll kick off the action at the impressive Dipotamos Dam for a photo stop. Then, it's onto the sleepy mountain village of Lefkara, renowned for its intricately-made lace and silverware. We'll go a bit off-piste into Mesa Potamos Forest where you can take part in an optional hike, too.
Once you've built up an appetite, a meze-style lunch will be served in a village taverna. Then, we'll head to a beautiful forest waterfall with ice-cold water cascading down 20m. There'll also be a stop by Lofou village, where you can walk through narrow streets and try a Cypriot coffee in a local ‘kafenion'. A refreshing end to an action-packed day.

Loved the tour guide George Michael & I loved learning all of the things he told us about Cypriot history, economy, industry & culture. We saw some lovely villages & had an excellent lunch. I’m not sure why we stopped at a few of the villages, though. I wish there had been something to see…

We really enjoyed the close knit group experience created by travelling in a land rover rather than a bus. Our tour guide, Tiny, was fantastic and funny. He let us change positions a lot too so everyone could sit up front. We particularly loved the small town, Omodos, in the mountains and the bumpy driving through the forest.

In the photo it looks like you go off road through a river, it wasn't like that. There was off road travel though. We were a bit overcrowded in our land rover. Some of the itinerary seemed completely pointless. Stopping at a lace / jewellery seller and a church which was in the process of being restored so we couldn't go in. The driver was entertaining though. The lunch was good. They need to rethink the itinerary which I suspect is dictated more by the inducements from the destinations they bestow visitors on then by the interest there is for their paying customers..
