Overview

  • Experience Gran Canaria’s most magical night above the clouds on our Sunset and Stargazing tour.
    We begin with a scenic drive through the island’s mountains, passing canyons, palm oases, and villages such as Arteara and Fataga. Our first stop is Mirador Astronómico de la Degollada de las Yeguas, with panoramic views of Gran Canaria’s interior. We then continue to Mirador Picos de las Nieves for sunset.
    At 1,950m above sea level, enjoy views above the clouds, with both Mount Teide and Pico de las Nieves visible. Sip a glass of cava or juice while watching the sunset before heading to a remote stargazing spot.
    With minimal light pollution and clear skies, the Canary Islands are one of the world’s top stargazing destinations. Using powerful telescopes, our guides will reveal planets, galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters. You'll also enjoy a laser-guided constellation tour and insights into the universe.
    To finish, we’ll take a professional astrophotography portrait of you under the stars.

Mirador Astronómico de la Degollada de las Yeguas

You’ll be picked up directly from or near your accommodation in the south of Gran Canaria (Between Puerto Mogan and Bahia Feliz). We’ll begin with a scenic sunset drive through the island’s stunning mountain landscapes, passing majestic canyons, lush palm tree oases, and picturesque Canarian villages like Arteara and Fataga. Our first stop will be at the breathtaking Mirador Astronómico de la Degollada de las Yeguas, offering views of the Grand Canyon of Gran Canaria. After taking in the views and snapping some photos, we’ll continue on to the sunset viewpoint.

At 1950m above sea level; Mirador de las Picos de las Nieves offers spectacular views above the clouds, with both Teide in Tenerife and Pico de las Nieves in Gran Canaria in sight. Enjoy a glass of cava or juice as you take in the breathtaking sunset above the clouds. Its magical! Afterwards, we’ll head deeper into the island’s rugged interior to the remote stargazing site at Llanos de la Pez for an unforgettable dark sky experience.
