The King's Garden is an urban park in the city centre. It hosts open-air concerts, events in summer and offering an ice rink in winter. The park is divided in two spaces: -the Square of King Charles XII , - Molin's Fountain, In 17th and 18th century the garden was a symmetrical composition centred on a fountain . The area became a popular hot spot for the bourgeois social life. The elm trees date back to the 17th century.

Gamla Stan is made up of cobbled streets, North-Germanic architecture and picturesque open piazza. The most famous and beautiful is Stortorget ( the large square), And area surrounded by merchants' houses . Later, the site of Stockholm Bloodbath ordered by Danish King Christian II and 82 noblemen, was executed in 1520. It's home to the Royal Palace, the 18th century building in Baroque style.
