Overview

  • Discover the Caminito del Rey in a comfortable and well-organized way, with return transport from selected locations on the Costa del Sol and admission included. You will be accompanied by a tour escort during the excursion and by a local guide during the Caminito del Rey walk.

    Walk along trails and spectacular walkways suspended above impressive gorges in a stunning natural setting, before reaching one of the most exciting parts of the experience: the suspension bridge more than 100 metres above the gorge.

Know before you book

    • Minimum age: 8 years. Children under 8 years old are not permitted to enter the Caminito del Rey. Minors must carry original identification proving their age, as it may be requested at the entrance.
    • Not recommended for travellers with vertigo or a severe fear of heights, as parts of the route follow elevated walkways and include a suspension bridge more than 100 metres above the gorge.
    • The route cannot be completed wearing unsuitable footwear, such as flip-flops or shoes that do not provide adequate support for safe walking.
    • Travellers must follow the instructions of Caminito del Rey staff and all safety regulations at all times.
    • A moderate level of physical fitness is recommended, as the walking route is approximately 7.7 km long.
    • Not recommended for travellers with significant walking difficulties or reduced mobility.
    • Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Bring water, sun protection and a hat, especially during warmer months.
    • The activity is subject to weather and safety conditions at Caminito del Rey.

Activity itinerary

El Caminito del Rey

We will complete an approximately 7.7 km walking route along trails and the spectacular walkways of the Caminito del Rey. We will begin with a 2 km walk to the access control point, where we will receive our protective helmets before starting the route. We will discover the Gaitanejo Reservoir and cross the narrow Gaitanejo Gorge, where the first walkways begin. We will continue through El Soto, Tajo de las Palomas and Valle del Hoyo before reaching the impressive Gaitanes Gorge. We will walk along suspended walkways more than 100 metres above the gorge and cross one of the most spectacular points of the route: the suspension bridge. We will finish on the path leading to the El Chorro area, accompanied by our guide throughout the experience.

Ardales

  • 45m
After completing the Caminito del Rey, and provided that weather conditions allow, we will make an approximately 45-minute stop in Ardales. You will have free time to rest, have a drink or enjoy the surroundings before starting the return journey. The return journey to the original pickup points takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
