What you can expect
Experience Fiordland National Park from the land, sea, and air for a great combination of sightseeing around the South Island's coast. This tour takes you through the rugged landscape in a glass-roof coach, out on a boutique cruise traverse the sound, and flying over alpine lakes.
After you're picked up from your Queenstown hotel, the coach carries you through the mountains for a breath-taking look at the Southern Alps. Enjoy morning tea in Te Anau, admire the broad green fields of the Eglinton Valley, and get some photos of the mountains reflected in the gorgeous Mirror Lakes. Once you pass through the Homer Tunnel, step out for a short but impressive walk along footbridges that span powerful rapids and waterfalls.
Once you arrive at Milford Sound, your driver escorts you to the boat docks, and you cruise through the fjord on a newly refurbished vessel. Enjoy a picnic lunch on board and admire the spectacular scenery of soaring waterfalls and coastal wildlife, from seals to dolphins and the rare crested penguins.
It's then time to take to the air, as a skilled pilot carries you up over the network of waterways that run through the national park. Get spectacular persrpective on the Sutherland Falls and the headlands of Milford Sound as you make the return trip to Queenstown.
