Know before you book

  • Children 9 and younger are not permitted on this tour
  • To operate the tour we need a minimum number of 4 guests. If minimum capacity is not reached and we have to cancel the tour, you will receive a full refund.
  • Maximum group size is 8 people.
  • You will be contacted the day before your tour with your pick up time. If you are staying outside of the Fairbanks or North Pole city limits please contact the tour provider for your nearest pick up location.
  • Please be ready and waiting in your hotel lobby around 15 minutes prior your pick up time. Please be aware that delays do occur when guests are not ready on time so don't panic if your guide is not there right on the dot.
  • There is a possibility of cancellation due to dangerous weather and/or road conditions. If this occurs, an alternative date or a full refund will be offered.
  • This tour requires being able to enter and exit our van with limited assistance. Please contact us if you have any concerns about mobility.

What you can expect

Experience the pristine natural beauty of Interior Alaska with an unforgettable day trip to the Arctic Circle. On your journey, ride along the Dalton Highway, travel over the formidable Yukon River, and learn about the Trans-Alaska Pipeline with the guidance of a knowledgeable tour leader.

You are conveniently picked up at your hotel before setting out on a day of adventure. Just north of Fairbanks in Fox you receive background information on the grand engineering feat of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline at the Viewpoint. Continue on to Finger Mountain to meander around the granite formation in the alpine tundra.

Proceed to the treacherous Dalton Highway keeping an eye out for wildlife roaming the remote area, such as moose, caribous, wolves, and bears. (not guaranteed) Celebrate a successful trek to the Arctic Circle with a certificate as a token of your deed venturing to the northernmost latitudinal region.
