Your journey begins with an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla or directly from Lukla. In Lukla, you'll meet your guide for a pre-trek briefing. The hike then commences, leading you through charming Sherpa villages and stunning Himalayan vistas. Your route covers Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Deboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, Gorak Shep, culminating in the awe-inspiring Everest Base Camp (5,364 m / 17,599 ft).
Journey Overview
——————–Day 1: Lukla to Phakding (Max Altitude: 2,860 m / 9,383 ft)
Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla, or directly meet your guide at Lukla, and trek 3-4 hours to Phakding.
Day 2: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (Max Altitude: 3,440 m / 11,286 ft)
Enjoy a 5-6 hour hike to Namche Bazaar, the “Gateway to Everest.”
Day 3: Acclimatisation hike to Hotel Everest View (Max Altitude: 3,880 m / 12,730 ft)
Explore Namche and take a short hike to Hotel Everest View, then return to Namche.
Day 4: Namche Bazaar to Deboche (Max Altitude: 3,860 m / 12,664 ft)
A 5-6 hour trek through rhododendron forests to the serene Sherpa village of Deboche, via the famous Tengboche Monastery.
Day 5: Deboche to Dingboche (Max Altitude: 4,410 m / 14,469 ft)
Hike 5–6 hours to Dingboche, a picturesque Sherpa village surrounded by stone-walled fields and magnificent views of Ama Dablam.
Day 6: Dingboche to Lobuche (Max Altitude: 4,940 m / 16,208 ft)
A challenging 5-6 hour ascent to Lobuche, a small but significant settlement offering impressive views of Nuptse.
Day 7: Lobuche to Gorak Shep & Everest Base Camp (Max Altitude: 5,364 m / 17,599 ft)
An early 4-5 hour hike to Gorak Shep. After a break, trek to Everest Base Camp, soaking in the iconic Khumbu Icefall, then return to Gorak Shep (3-4 hours).
Day 8: Kala Patthar & Trek to Pheriche (Max Altitude: 5,545 m / 18,193 ft)
Before sunrise, hike 2-3 hours to Kala Patthar for the most stunning Everest sunrise views. After breakfast in Gorak Shep, trek 4-5 hours to Pheriche.
Day 9: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (Min Altitude: 3,440 m / 11,286 ft)
A 5-6 hour downhill trek back to Namche Bazaar.
Day 10: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (Min Altitude: 2,800 m / 9,187 ft)
Your final 5–6 hour hike returns you to Lukla via Phakding. Celebrate your EBC achievement and bid farewell to your team. Overnight stay is at a guesthouse, and travellers with flights will return to Kathmandu the next morning, with airport transfer provided.
Please Note: All travellers arrive in Lukla on Day 10. Because flights only operate during clear morning hours, you will fly to Kathmandu on Day 11. Accommodation in Lukla is included for Day 10 for all travellers.
