See the majestic brown bear from a specially designed bear hide, situated at ground level, just a few metres away from the bears. You can't get closer than this!

• In the afternoon, your guide will pick you up from your location in Brasov.
• After an 80 kilometre drive through beautiful rural landscape, you will reach the area of Tusnad, home to one of the biggest concentration of brown bears in Romania.
• After meeting the ranger, you will go to one of the bear hides situated in the area. These bear hides were designed by a professional wildlife photographer and offer probably the best viewing experience you can find in Romania.
• Once inside, wait quietly for the bears to arrive. You will be served with traditional home made palinka and you will be familiarised with the bears's behaviour. Once the bears arrive, take stunning shots with them, behind a mirror-like window. This ensures that the bears won't see you inside, only you can see them.
• Remember to turn off your flash and focus assist light!
• Tip for photographers: bring a tripod and a 70-200 mm lens or a 150-600 mm lens.
• These bear hides are unique in Romania. Unlike the others, where tourists see bears from 30-40 metres away, in these ones you have the chance to see these majestic animals from 10-15 metres away, sometimes even closer! Moreover, the viewing point is situated at ground level, unlike the other bear hides, where tourists stay at a higher point and see the food that is given to them.

• After spending around two hours inside, you will get back to the car and will be taken back to Brasov and dropped off at your accommodation.
