What you can expect
Our Classic Half-Day Wine Tour is an easy 30 minute train ride from Rome but worlds away from the crowds of the city! It is available EVERY DAY beginning in the morning and ending after lunch. It includes a tour and tasting at a historic 16th century family vineyard in the Frascati countryside, a guided tour of Frascati, and lunch at a local Osteria.
You'll meet your driver in front of the Frascati Train Station (or Tor Vergata station on Saturdays) The meeting times are listed below:

Sunday at Frascati Train Station at 10:24 AMYou will tour the beautiful artisanal Frascati vineyard and 16th century farmhouse and winery accompanied by the winemaker. Learn about how the artisanal winemaking tradition has been kept alive by a devotion to traditional winemaking techniques, incorporated into the production of modern DOCG wines. Explore a deep wine cave which dates back to the times of Ancient Rome. Taste three boutique wines; Frascati Superiore DOCG, Roma Red IGT and Sweet Cannellino DOCG. Each wine is described in detail and is accompanied by freshly baked goods picked up from the bakery in the centre of town. Sit and relax while sipping your wine in a beautiful setting with amazing views of Rome in the distance.
After the tour at the winery uou will return to town to learn about the history of Frascati while tasting local products like slow-roasted pork and Frascati jug wine. Meet local artisans and shop owners who are eager to share their stories. Feel like a local while accompanied by your guide who lives in Frascati and knows everybody in town! Blend in with the locals. Meet the bakers, the butchers, and the farmers selling vegetables from their fields. Their stalls are full of items such as fresh fruit, vegetables, cheeses, cured meats, balsamic vinegar, sun dried tomatoes, olives and many other Italian food specialities.
You will enjoy a wonderful traditional lunch at a local osteria. Lunch begins with local cheeses, vegetables & different salumi and is followed by fresh homemade pasta with seasonal sauces. The meal is also served with delicious house wine from the restaurant.
You should finish lunch by about 3-3:30PM, you are free to leave and explore Frascati on your own once you are finished eating.
Trains return to Rome every hour at :36 until 9:36PM (every other hour on Sundays).
