Cape Saint Vincent

.The Fortress of Sagres, also referred to as Castelo de Sagres or Forte de Sagres, is a military monument, located near the village of Sagres, in the municipality of Vila do Bispo, in the Algarve region, in Portugal. The fortress was built in the 15th century, during the period of Infante D. Henrique, Portuguese navigator, having been badly damaged by the earthquake of 1755 and rebuilt at the end of that century, in a very modified form. Inside, the Church of Nossa Senhora da Graça stands out, also built during the Henry period. The fortress is of great historical importance due to its connection to Infante D.
