Overview

  • Moroccan henna is a centuries-old tradition of applying intricate designs to the skin using a natural dye derived from the henna plant. It is an integral part
of Moroccan culture and is widely practised during
special occasions and celebrations, such as weddings and religious holidays
Once finished, we will serve you a meal including 7 types of salads accompanied by a tagine, and at the end you will have seasonal fruits, without forgetting Moroccan tea and Fassian delicacies.

Activity itinerary

Once we've been welcomed to the palace, we'll begin this activity with a short introduction to henna. Here we'll learn all about the cultural importance of the henna plant before we're shown how to prepare the paste and the basic process of how it's applied to the skin. Did you know that this seasonal body art was used in past centuries to decorate the bodies of women? This was done during social and religious celebrations and symbolised luck, happiness, and beauty. After a little bit about the history, we'll create our own personalised designs before it's put onto our feet or hands. Let's get to work! It will take around 30 minutes for the drawing to be done. And once it's finished, we'll receive some advice on how to lengthen the amount of time the henna design will stay on our skin. Once the process has finished, we'll be served a delicious lunch or dinner, depending on the time of the activity.
