Description

This award-winning NYC day bus tour includes stops at Central Park, Rockefeller Center, the 9/11 Memorial, as well as a harbour cruise with views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis island, and more!

After a drive through the Times Square area, the first stop is at Central Park West and 72nd Street, at the Dakota Building (former home of John Lennon). The stop includes a short guided walk into Central Park to visit the Strawberry Fields with the Imagine mosaic dedicated to John Lennon, as well as the views of other sites in the area such as the luxury apartments that numerous celebrities call home. We'll also drive by Central Park Zoo, famous Plaza Hotel and Carnegie Hall.

The second stop on the tour is Rockefeller Center, for views of St. Patrick's Cathedral, the location of the ice skating rink and Christmas Tree, and NBC's Today Show set.

The third stop is Madison Square Park - the original location of Madison Square Garden Arena. This area provides spectacular views of dramatic architecture featured in numerous books and films.

The tour continues with a drive through some of the iconic NYC's districts, such as Greenwich Village, Soho, Chinatown, and the Financial District.

En route to the fourth stop, we drive by Wall Street for views of the New York Stock Exchange, Federal Hall (the location of the first Capitol Building of the United States), Trinity Church, and a drive by the famous Charging Bull sculpture on Broadway.

The fourth stop is the World Trade Center, as we visit the 9/11 Memorial. The tour does not include entry into the 9/11 Museum, but visitors can walk the grounds of the Memorial, visit the waterfalls of “Reflecting Absence,” (the footprints of where the original twin towers stood), and see the Survivor Tree that stood up to the destruction of 9/11.

Around 1 pm, we'll stop for a quick lunch break at the Fulton 55 Market.

The fifth stop is at Pier 15 for the 2:30 pm Hornblower International Sightseeing Cruise to experience magnificent views of the Manhattan and Brooklyn skylines, iconic Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg bridges, Governor's Island, Ellis Island, and a 360 degree turn in front of the Statue of Liberty for amazing photo opportunities!

The boat docks back at Pier 15 in Midtown Manhattan, where we board our bus to continue the tour, as we drive back to our original departure point om 7th Avenue.

Fun trip that covers a lot of ground. Wish there was more information about each place visited (detailed information), stories, etc. Hostess was telling everyone 'to the right' when it was to HER right so many missed what we were looking at because they were too busy looking for it! With all the great places to stop in NY, the grocery store chosen, had horrible food (sitting in the warmers way too long, dry and overcooked) - a deli or a place like Pret a Manger that has fresh (non processed salty) food to go would have been much better. The boat part was great - the man speaking gave great details, a character, and very knowledgeable - would have been nice it he had a loud microphone that could be heard on all sides, as when he was talking to those in front of him we could not hear at all.

Great experience, just it would be better that once we were at the Rockefeller center, we had 10 min to visit St Patrick’s cathedral

Fantastic tour. The tour guide “Gill” was very good. He was funny and entertaining but still made sure we left satisfied with info. I learned a tremendous amount even though I was born and raised in NYC.
