Embark on an enchanting hike to the charming Kringsjå farm, offering spectacular panoramic views of Haugesund and the surrounding mountains. “Kringsjå” aptly translates to “see all around,” and this tour is hailed as one of the most authentic experiences by visitors.
Begin with a 20-minute minibus ride to Steinsfjellet, a panoramic point overlooking Haugesund. From there, a 15 minutes hike takes you to a traditional Norwegian cabin and farm, where the local farmer shares the rich history and development of this cultural gem.
Hear captivating stories, including tales of occupation during World War II. Witness the farmer's call, summoning wild sheep that roam the area—a delightful spectacle for all ages as the sheep gather, drawn by the prospect of a treat.
While taking in the stunning surroundings, enjoy a cup of coffee, tea, or water, accompanied by a slice of delicious apple cake. Kringsjå farm is run by a private foundation, and the contribution from your ticket helps preserve this local treasure and its cultural heritage.
