Overview

  • The Transfăgărășan is a paved mountain road crossing the southern section of the Carpathian Mountains of Romania. According to TopGear it is the “best road in the world”. Join us on a full day tour to see the beauty of the spectacular Făgăraș Mountains and learn how the Transfăgărășan Road was built. Enjoy a brief stop at Bâlea Lake and afterwards we head towards Vidraru Dam an imposing 166 metres high dam. On our way back to Sibiu we'll make a quick stop to visit the Clay Castle.

Enjoy a relaxed ride with our first class vehicle and listen carefully to the precious infos given by our English and German speaking guide and driver.

Le Lac Balea

After the many of curves of Transfăgărășan we will finally arrive at Bâlea Lake, a wonderful Glacier Lake located at an altitude of 2034 metres.

Vidraru Dam

After a short sightseeing break at Bâlea Lake we will be making our way to the imposing 166 metres high Vidraru Dam.
