Cangshan Botanical Garden, located in the picturesque Cang-Er countryside of Dali, lies west of Cangshan Mountain and east of Erhai Lake, covering 125 acres. Originally a nursery for woody plants, it has evolved over 30 years into a modern agricultural estate combining rare woody flower displays, classical landscape gardens, and agritourism experiences. The garden is a hub of Dali’s “Wind, Flowers, Snow, and Moon” charm, featuring lush greenery and serene natural surroundings that embody “gardens in flowers, flowers in gardens.” It serves as a demonstration base for camellias, alpine rhododendrons, and other woody species, and was designated a branch venue for the 2016 International Camellia Expo. Visitors can stroll amid vibrant plantings, enjoy peaceful scenery, and experience both horticultural beauty and cultural charm.
