What you can expect

Feast your eyes on the Great Barrier Reef—from every angle. Combining an outer-reef cruise (that pauses along 2 scenic snorkelling spots) with a helicopter’s bird’s-eye perspective, this full-day itinerary ensures you encounter every kind of coral—whether under the waves or over them.

Enjoy a morning hotel pickup, head to the marina, and board your awaiting vessel, Evolution. Speed off through the Coral Sea’s crystal-clear waters to 2 outer reef locations—each boasting their own unique colourful batch of coral, and their own varied collection of marine life.

Strap on a mask and don your flippers—a guided snorkel outing may result in a personal introduction to Wally, the resident Maori Wrasse. And, should he not show, no worries—there are plenty of exotic, exuberant sea characters flitting about (likely as curious about you as you are of them).

Upon coming up for air, refuel with a tropical barbecue lunch spread featuring delicious fish, prawns, steak, and salad.

Choose the optional scuba lesson (surcharge applies) and dive the afternoon away, or simply catch some rays from a top-deck lounger before leaving the seas for the skies. Your return to Cairns comes via chopper, with a fly-over of 5 different reef systems and secluded sand cays—a thrilling ending to your day at the Reef.
