Activity itinerary

Canyoning Rodokalos cuts across the eastern slopes of Mount Oiti above the town of Ypati and offers a full–on, technical descent with narrow walls, twisting waterfalls and back–to–back abseils. From the very first metres you feel you are in a serious canyon: tight passages, sculpted rock and flowing water – especially in spring and early summer, depending on the year – give the line a strong, “alive” character without compromising safety when guided properly. Rodokalos is best suited to participants with previous canyoning experience, or to strong beginners who have already completed at least one easier canyon and want to step up to something more demanding. Expect a total duration of around 3 hours including approach and exit, with plenty of time spent inside the gorge on rappels, short swims, scrambling over rock and enjoying the dramatic Oiti landscape that looks great in photos and video.
