In addition to Lascaux, there are a handful of other caves in the Dordogne region. The grotte de Rouffignac, for example. Here you board a small electric train and ride down deep into a very large cavern. Its also called the cave of 1000 mammoths. Inside you’ll find colourful images of animals; horses, wooly rhinos, mammoths, antelope, saber-tooth cats, and even human figures. We'll also drive through La Roque Saint Christophe cliff settlement ruins and explore the lovely village of Saint Leon-sur-Vezere.
