Gouda is world famous for its cheese. Discover this cute little town and go on a bike adventure with Marcella and Suzanne. This bike tour combines everything if you want a typical dutch experience. You will not regret it!

What we offer:
Visiting the pittoresk historic centre of Gouda, biking to an authentic cheesefarm and taste the real Gouda cheese. We will see the beautiful amazing green landscape with polders, dikes, mills and rivers! Drinks, snacks, Gouda cheese, complete fresh lunch and bike rental is included. It is completely all-inclusive!

Activity itinerary

Collected Stories

We start at Collected Stories, one of the narrowest canal houses in Gouda. It is the starting point for walks in Gouda & this bike tour! But who are you going on a day trip with? Suzanne lives in one of the narrowest canal houses in Gouda, where we meet. In the summer, Suzanne walks as a city guide in the centre of Gouda. Together with Marcella, she also wants to show the beautiful surrounding landscape by bike. Marcella was born and raised in Gouda and knows the surrounding typical Dutch polders like no other. During the bike tour, she likes to take you to the most beautiful places in this unique Dutch farmland where she grew up. With Marcella as our guide, we know for sure that we will not get lost! As soon as everyone is there, we leave on foot via old, separate alleys to pick up the bikes from the bike shop. Together we ensure that the bikes are adjusted to everyone's height. From there we cycle over one of the most beautiful canals of Gouda towards our first stop: the Cheese Farm.

Beijersche schuur, winkel & theeschenkerij/rustpunt

We go to a real authentic cheese farm where Gouda cheese is made in a traditional way. The cheese farmer is friendly and we take a look at the farm. Time for the super delicious Gouda cheese tasting!

Geerpad

The Dutch landscape is incredibly beautiful in this area. We cycle past old farms, ditches & mills. We have lunch with fresh local products. Cheese from the farm we just visited is of course not missing! Do you have special preferences/allergies? No problem, let us know in advance.

Molen De Bachtenaar

A bike tour through the Dutch countryside, that includes a mill! From here we cycle back over winding roads along the Vlist, a small river with the unique vast Dutch landscape in the background.

Haastrecht

As we cycle back to Gouda we pass Haastrecht, a picturesque town. Plenty of beautiful places to take pictures, of course we make a stop here. From Haastrecht we cycle to Gouda, you will be amazed by the landscape with grazing animals, farms & beautiful houses. The last stop is at the centuries-old market of Gouda!

Stadhuis Gouda (City Hall)

The medieval city hall of Gouda is the oldest of the Netherlands! We spend time here on the marketplace and tell you the history of this jaw dropping building.

Waag (Weighing House)

Gouda is world famous because of its cheese. You know after this tour how it taste and where it is still made. This building was designed for weighing all the cheeses that came from the farmland that we explored! Offcourse we stop in front of the Weighing house, the endpoint of our tour. We will walk together to the bike shop, just around the corner.
