This tour makes for a long day. 4am to 9.30pm. There is a lot of time spent waiting at the airport both ways. Big Island is different from Oahu but is worth waiting around to see the volcano and lava and to see what the island people experience in their daily lives. Different experience from Oahu, more country and relaxed.

We had a small group so Captain Rob the driver was happy to get to as many sites as we could in the day. Very good value for money and well organised from pick up to drop off.

Everything was perfect! With the exception of the bus driver who took us to the airport that morning, he was very rude. The flight from take off to landing was about 40 minutes. Once we got to the Big Island it was nonstop activities and fun. We started the day at Rainbow falls, which was a beautiful sight! Then made our way to Volcanoes National Park which was amazing. Unfortunately due to the lava flow earlier this year we were unable to see alot of attractions as many of them were closed to the public for safety. But our tour guide made sure we saw as much as we possibly could before leaving. We made several more stops throughout the afternoon at a black sand beach, a macadamia nut plantation, a candy shop, and the King Kamehameha statue. The Lava Rock Cafe, where we stopped for lunch, was delicious. As we were staying in Honolulu, I was very pleasantly surprised at how different the Big Island was in comparison to Oahu. It was much less busy! Which we loved.
