What you can expect
You step onto the shore of Lake Louise as the morning light catches the turquoise water and the Victoria Glacier glows above the far end of the lake. There's no parking to find, no reservation to chase, and nothing to organise — just a full, unhurried day across three of the Canadian Rockies' most iconic lakes, with a local guide taking care of every detail so you can simply take it in.
Your day begins with a morning pickup in the Banff and Canmore area and a scenic drive into Yoho National Park to Emerald Lake, a quieter, deep-green gem that most day-trippers never make time for. From there you continue to Lake Louise Village for a lunch stop (the meal is at your own expense, so you can choose what you like), then head up to the shore of Lake Louise itself — time on that famous turquoise shoreline beneath the Victoria Glacier, room to wander the lakefront path, photograph the historic lakeside hotel across the water, and take in one of the most photographed views in Canada. In the afternoon you travel on past the Valley of the Ten Peaks to Moraine Lake, where the Rockpile viewpoint reveals a scene you'll recognise the moment you see it.
Getting to Moraine Lake has become the single biggest headache of a Rockies trip. Personal vehicles are no longer allowed on Moraine Lake Road, which means sold-out shuttle reservations, pre-dawn alarms, and full car parks for anyone trying to do it alone. We take care of Moraine Lake access for you — no separate shuttle booking and no reservation scramble. It's arranged as part of your tour, so all you have to do is enjoy it.
This is a day designed for taking it all in rather than ticking boxes. You'll have real time at each lake to walk the shoreline, find the best light for your photos, and let your guide point out the peaks, glaciers, and stories that most visitors drive straight past. There's no special gear to bring and nothing to reserve — every national park permit, parking spot, and access arrangement is handled in advance.
Plan for a full day, roughly 9 to 10 hours door to door, in a small group of no more than 14, with comfortable return transport and all the logistics taken care of. Bring layers, water, and a camera, and we'll handle the rest. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before start. It's an ideal choice for couples, photographers, families, and first-time visitors who want the icons of Banff and Yoho without figuring it all out themselves.
