Overview

  • Amami Oshima is a subtropical island paradise between Kyushu and Okinawa, celebrated for its rich biodiversity, clear waters, and deep traditions. This full-day tour uses a private vehicle with an English-speaking guide, accessing sights spread across the island that are difficult to combine without a car.

The day begins in the primeval Kinsakubaru forest, where giant ferns and rare birds create a jungle atmosphere. Continue to Ayamaru Cape, offering a 360-degree panorama of coral reefs and the Pacific Ocean. Head south to Yadoribama Beach at the island's tip, known for clear emerald waters and views of Kakeroma Island.

In the afternoon, stop for lunch (own expense) before exploring Amami Park, featuring the Tanaka Isson Memorial Art Museum. The day concludes with a return to Ayamaru Cape for a final ocean view and souvenir browsing. As this route requires a private vehicle, the itinerary can be adjusted within the allotted time.
