What you can expect

Board the PS Murray Princess and travel over 200 miles (320 km) down the great Murray River. Experience majestic landscapes and sites as you cruise for 7 nights along Australia's longest river.

Day 1 Begin at Mannum, the historic birthplace of the Murray River. While cruising under a floodlight, keep an eye out for nocturnal wildlife along Mundarra's riverbank.

Day 2 Visit Murray Bridge and see the first bridge erected at the Edwards Crossing. In the afternoon, cruise upriver and moor at Craignook, watching for kangaroos, echidnas, and wombats.

Day 3 Discover local flora and fauna on a guided nature walk. Depart for the big river gorges of River View Lodge, where a discovery vessel takes you on a backwater wildlife tour. Join the stewards for the Captain's Dinner and Dance in the evening.

Day 4 Arrive at Mannum and head to the beautiful Barossa Valley for a visit to 2 premium wineries.

Day 5 Enjoy a leisurely morning cruise to Blanchetown. Arrive at Salters Station and visit the Burk Salter vineyard for wine tasting.

Day 6 Cruise down to Swan Reach, home to many native flower and fruit growers, and visit the Native Wildlife Shelter at Sunnydale. Enjoy an Aussie barbeque in the evening.

Day 7 Stop at Ngaut Ngaut Aboriginal Reserve, view ancient rock carvings, and learn about aboriginal history. Cruise downriver to Younghusband for your last overnight stay and enjoy the Farewell Captain's Buffet.
