As you explore different areas of the park, you may encounter lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and a variety of bird species. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a picnic lunch within the park before continuing your wildlife viewing. Later in the evening, you will drive to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Maasai Cultural Experience & Journey to Central Serengeti

1 stop
Meals: breakfast, lunch, snacks
Accommodation: Overnight at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, your guide will drive you to a Maasai village, where you can learn about the Maasai people's culture, traditions, and daily way of life. The Maasai are a semi-nomadic community known for their livestock-keeping traditions. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by members of the village and have the opportunity to visit traditional homes and see handmade crafts and jewellery. Some villages may also have a school that visitors can see. After the visit, you will continue your journey to Serengeti National Park. The drive takes several hours and passes through different landscapes along the way. You will stop at Naabi Hill Gate, one of the main entrances to the park, before proceeding to your accommodation. Wildlife sightings are possible during the drive.

Day 4: A Full Day of Wildlife Viewing in Serengeti

1 stop
Meals: breakfast, lunch, snacks
Accommodation: Overnight at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge.

Serengeti National Park

Today, you will spend a full day exploring Central Serengeti National Park through game drives across different areas of the park. The region is known for its vast plains and year-round wildlife viewing opportunities. You may encounter lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and many other species during your safari. You will enjoy a picnic lunch during the day before continuing your game drives. In the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater

1 stop
Meals: breakfast, lunch, snacks
Accommodation: Overnight at Marera Valley Lodge

Ngorongoro Crater

3h
Admission ticket included

After breakfast, you will depart from Serengeti National Park and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and is home to a wide variety of wildlife and bird species. During your game drive on the crater floor, you may have the opportunity to see elephants, buffaloes, lions, hyenas, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, hippos, and, with some luck, the endangered black rhino. The crater is one of the best places in Tanzania to spot a diverse range of wildlife within a relatively small area. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is also unique because wildlife and Maasai communities coexist within the same protected landscape, allowing the Maasai to continue their traditional way of life. In the late afternoon, you will ascend from the crater and proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: End of Safari and Departure

1 stop
Meals: breakfast, lunch, snacks
Accommodation: Not included

Tanzania

After breakfast, you will depart from Karatu and drive back to Arusha. The journey takes approximately 3 hours, passing through local towns, villages, and the scenic landscapes of northern Tanzania. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time to relax or enjoy lunch in Arusha before your transfer to the airport. At the appropriate time, our representative will transfer you to the airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your Tanzania safari. Thank you for choosing Tansafari Tours. We hope you have enjoyed your time in Tanzania and wish you a safe journey home.
