What you can expect
Discover a trove of natural treasures during a 2-day sailing adventure aboard Spank Me, an 82-foot racing yacht. Cruise around the Whitsunday Islands and glimpse a stunning array of marine life during captivating snorkel excursions each day.
Meet a friendly captain and a skilled crew near Airlie Beach and get acquainted with the seaworthy Spank Me. Despite its whimsical name, this sophisticated sailing vessel doesn't play games. Clocking in at 82 feet (25 m), the racing yacht was once used to train American Naval sailors. Get acquainted with the ship, and then take off, gliding towards the Whitsunday Islands—a continental collection of atolls that plunge into the Coral Sea beside the breathtaking Great Barrier Reef.
Fine tune the tour to make the most of your interisland explorations. Get to know the captain and crew, and assist them by hoisting the mainsail and dropping anchor at each exciting destination. Or, get outfitted with a mask and flippers and snorkel to your heart's content. See fascinating marine life including resident dugong—curious relatives of the manatee that adore the waters near the UNESCO-listed Great Barrier Reef.
Every evening, roll up your sleeves and help the crew prepare mouthwatering specialities like roast chicken, spaghetti bolognese, and healthy green salad. Or, position yourself at the ship's prow where you can watch the sky change from buttery yellow to blazing magenta as the sun dips below the horizon.
