Overview

  • The main advantage of flying to Maasai Mara National Reserve is that it saves time. It is good especially for shorter safaris such as an overnight or two-night trip, it takes 45 minutes to 1 hour by flight compared to 5-6-hour road trip. Secondly it is more friendly to clients with medical or back conditions that can become worse with road travel.

Activity itinerary

Day 1: Guests will be picked up from their accommodation or the airport upon arrival at 5:30 a.m. and transferred to Wilson Airport to board a flight to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, departing at 7:00 a.m. and arriving at 8:00 a.m. Upon arrival, our driver-guide will receive them and commence a game drive immediately, lasting until midday. Thereafter, guests will proceed to their lodge or camp for lunch and check-in. An afternoon game drive will follow at 3:30 p.m., continuing until sunset. Dinner, a bonfire experience, and an overnight stay will be at the lodge or camp. Day 2: Guests will have an early breakfast at 7:00 a.m., followed by check-out. They will then proceed to the airstrip with a game drive en route. The return flight will depart at 11:30 a.m., arriving in Nairobi at 12:30 p.m. Upon arrival, guests will be met and transferred to their preferred destination within Nairobi or to the airport.
