Ananuri fortress dates to the XVI-XVIII centuries and it is situated on the foreland by the river Aragvi. Ananuri was a castle and seat of the Eristavis of Aragvi, a feudal dynasty that ruled the area from the 13th century. The castle was the scene of numerous battles. This is a perfect place for landscape photography, there are amazingly beautiful views of the fortress and Jinvali reservoir together. Walking through the territory of the Ananuri defence complex, you will feel like a resident of the Middle Ages and learn about the glorious past of the Aragva eristavi and we will definitely pay attention to the Assumption Church of the 17th century, whose façade is decorated with interesting bas-reliefs, and each element of the décor carries a hidden meaning.

Local attractions include Mount Kazbegi itself and the alpine meadows and forests of the surrounding Kazbegi Nature Reserve and Gergeti Trinity Church Outside of town. The church is situated under Mount Kazbegi at an elevation of 2170 metres. The Church was built in the 14th century and is the only cross-cupola church in Khevi province. In times of danger, precious relics from Mtskheta, including Saint Nino's Cross were brought here for safekeeping. During the Soviet era, all religious services were prohibited, but the church remained a popular tourist destination. From the church, you will get an epic panoramic view of the whole valley. The church due to its isolation in the steep mountainous area full of nature, the church remains the most iconic tourist attraction in Georgia. Dariali Gorge is a river gorge on the border between Russia and Georgia. It is at the east base of Mount Kazbek, south of present-day Vladikavkaz. The gorge was carved by the river Terek, and is approximately 13 kilometres long. The steep granite walls of the gorge can be as much as 1,800 metres tall in some places

Discover the city Gori, populated since the early Bronze Age. There is possible to stop and take pictures of the house where Joseph Stalin was born. Vardzia –ancient town, carved in a rock, XII-XIII Century Georgian picturesque monument, located in Javakheti, on the left bank of river Mtkvari, 1300 metres above sea level. Vardzia fortress is arranged as stories, on a level of 100 metres, number of stories 3 – 13, it includes more than 600 storage facilities, refectories, shacks, pantries, backup storages, 25 wine cellars, with 185 wine-jars in total. Construction of the fortress was started by Giorgi III and finished by his daughter – Queen Tamar, who changed its original designation to a fortress and introduced it as a massive, fortified monastery. The complex was mostly constructed during the 1156-1203 years.

The Sataplia Cave is located in the West Georgia. Located twenty kilometres from Batumi, Mirveti Waterfall is one of Georgia’s most stunning waterfalls. Falling from a height of twenty metres from the cliffs near Mirveti Village, this waterfall is made all the more enchanting by the beautiful trail required to reach it. Walking through a sun-dappled forest of Colchic boxwoods, you’ll have the chance to soak in the unique blend of sea and mountain air - one of Ajara’s trademarks. Besides the waterfall, there is a 13th-century arched bridge and nice picnic spots in Mirveti. Makhuntseti Waterfall is one of the most popular waterfalls in Georgia. It is located in Adjara, in the Makhuntseti village. A 50-meter-high waterfall flows on a small tributary, which creates a rather large whirlpool. You can visit the Makhuntseti waterfall at any period of the year. Here you can also buy the locals’ natural products: honey, Churchkhela and so on. From Batumi, you will need just one hour to get there.

Gonio Fortress had unique strategic importance: it protected the entrances of the Chorokhi and Adjaristskali valleys, connecting inner regions of southwestern Georgia with the Black Sea coast. Because of its location, Gonio fortress became one of the pillars of the Roman Empire and then for Byzantine and Ottoman too. The Gonio fortress has been a museum-reserve since 2010. There are exhibits dated back from the early years of the nineteenth century to the 80's.
