What you can expect
Before setting sail on your cruise, take the opportunity to explore the amazing Bay of Islands in New Zealand. With transport and overnight accommodation all arranged, this tour lets you just sit back and absorb the culture & history.
Day 1: Airport Pick-up & Free Time in Auckland Touch down at the Auckland International Airport and get greeted by a friendly tour representative before transferring to your hotel in the city centre. After checking in, use the rest of the day as you please, whether you want to explore Auckland city or just relax.
Day 2: Guided Tour of the Bay of Islands Drive out of Auckland, cruising through rolling countryside to the town of Paihia in the Bay of Islands. Made up of 144 islands, the Bay of Islands is the home to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, where the Treaty of Waitangi between the British and the native Maori was signed in 1840.
From Paihia, take a short ferry trip to historic Russell, which was the first permanent European settlement in New Zealand. Learn about the town's evolution from a 1800s sea port into a popular fishing and tourist destination and visit historic buildings before ferrying back to Paihia and your return journey to Auckland.
Day 3: Cruise Terminal Transfer Spend your day as you wish before it's time to transfer from your hotel to your cruise. Easy, pre-arranged transport that takes you right to the cruise terminal takes the hassle out of your commute.
