Haight-Ashbury

Welcome to one of the grooviest neighbourhoods on the planet!

Haight-Ashbury was where the hippies used to live and music acts like the Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin used to call home. This neighbourhood was the epicentre of the counterculture movement and a nook of San Francisco that you need to see (and shop in—the vintage stores alone will consume a few days). Take a selfie under the famous street sign and then pay your respects to The Dead at 710 Ashbury Street. Turn on, tune in, drop out.
