Single Story Beachfront House with Deck Overlooking Bay

ATTENTION: This house is in contract to be sold to a new owner. The new owner is our house manager Andre who has managed the house for the past 10 years. He is keeping it a rental and is honoring all existing reservations. The sale should close by mid April 2025. Amberjack House is located right on the Northside Beach in Spanish Wells, Bahamas. If you are not familiar with the Northside Beach, it is one of the most beautiful, quiet, serene stretches of shoreline in the world. It's a sleepy beach with no crowds, white sand, and crystal clear water.

The house has three bedrooms and two baths, is 2100 square ft, and sleeps eight comfortably. The master bedroom, living room, and dining room each have a set of french doors that open up to a large deck that overlooks the beach.

This home features wide open living spaces, vaulted ceilings, wall to wall tile floors throughout, a modern, state-of-the-art kitchen, and very nice, yet comfortable furnishings. It is fully air conditioned. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of cookware and dishes for a crowd. There are four flatscreen TV's and several DVD players, one in the living room and one in each bedroom. The house was built in 2008, which is very new for Spanish Wells. There is also free wifi with signal boosters so that you can get a wifi signal throughout the house and on the outside deck.

In 2016, we added a new boardwalk and beach deck from the house deck that extends directly to the edge of the beach. It's perfect for coffee in the morning, watching the kids play on the beach in the afternoon, and cocktails in the evening. It's really nice for when you want to hang out on the beach but don't feel like trekking all your stuff out into the sand. You just stroll down the boardwalk and kick back on one of our Adirondack chairs.

In 2019, we added a new beach wall at the end of our yard just beyond the boardwalk. Many of the beach houses on Spanish Wells have a beach wall. It has a convenient set of stairs for easily accessing the beach and there is now a nice, private sunbathing area above the wall.

We also provide two kayaks.

What sets our house apart from other beach house rentals on Spanish Wells? The open floor plan, large covered deck, and the boardwalk to our beach side deck. The large rooms and open floor plan are unique for the island. Most of the beach fronts are older homes with tiny rooms. And very few of the newer homes have an open living room / dining room / kitchen area that opens up to a large, shaded beach deck. And the house is the only rental home that we know of on Spanish Wells that has a boardwalk that extends down to a beach side deck.

The house is located on 11th St right on the beach on the north side of the island. Note that there is a cemetery on Main Street from 10th to 11th. The cemetery is behind the house opposite the beach. It's a very pretty, very old little cemetary. It's quiet and provides extra privacy for the house. The landscaping behind our house hides it completely from view.

To get to Spanish Wells from the US, you want to fly to the North Eleuthera airport (ELH). There are direct flights from Atlanta, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Nassau. The house is about 30 minutes from the airport via taxi and water taxi.

They will drop you off right by the golf cart rental company. A four person golf cart usually costs around $250 per week. Google 'Harbourside Rentals Spanish Wells' for their website and to reserve a golf cart.

We have had a lot of people ask about refunds with regards to the Covid-19 pandemic. Now that things are pretty much back to normal, we will not be providing Covid related refunds.

We spend about six weeks per year at Amberjack House. Since we spend so much time there, we've tried to make it as nice and comfortable as possible so that we can really enjoy ourselves while on vacation. Hopefully you will find our beach house as fun and relaxing as we do!
