Never been through the Radford area. I will say for me, the biggest issue I had was finding the parking lot. This hotel is right across from Radford college campus and student dorms. This making it a little nerve racking trying to navigate the area for less experienced drivers. Overall the traffic in this area is not too terrible. It can be busy at times and you have to very careful to watch for students and other pedestrians.
Check in was very quick and easy(Maybe 5 min). I went through a 3rd party company “Expedia” to book my room. 1 room for 2 (King bed). They had my booking printed and ready for me to sign at check-in.
The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable (Mattress covers, 4 pillows, 1 flat sheet, 1 comforter, 1 silk sheet). Internet was okay. Limited channel on cable but they have a decent selection of movies to watch. Water pressure was really nice. The shower could’ve used some extra love but overall cleanliness is 10/10.
There is a bar/restaurant on the top balcony, but definitely plan ahead or go during the “on” season. There is also a small cafe/bar in the main lobby. This was okay. Didn’t eat here really at all , but the alcohol was good.
Overall great experience. Booked this hotel to get away from home for a few days. There was always a friendly face to greet you. And someone was available at all times during the night. Definitely recommend staying here. Would stay again in the future.
